Macario VITALIS dans les années 1963 à 1969
VITALIS arrived in Manila in December 1962 and stayed only 5 months in the Philippines. However, this was the occasion for his first exhibition in his native country, which had a definite impact, since all the paintings exhibited were sold. Back in Plestin and Paris, VITALIS continued in his style combining cubism and impressionism, a “prismatic” style as described by a Filipino art critic (see her article “VITALIS: a constant and joyful art”). At the end of the 60’s, his pictorial style will be more resolutely oriented towards pointillism – which he will never leave.
